What’s in the ad
March 23, 2008

Sam and Bhavin, your conversation about ads promoting the ‘wrong idea’ prompted me to post this picture which I had on my computer for a long time- mainly because I was contemplating the kind of helmet shown here. Not very clear but doesn’t this seem like the ‘cap’ which you were talking about?
The storage shown here does seem very fancy- allowing you to carry your ipod, cds and books! Under the seat was one of the posts I had written about some time back- a completely different picture here!

I compared the stuff piled up in the previous picture to the above. While the former seems to be an actual representation of how this space is utilised, the above picture is more for the visual appeal. The objects displayed, their placement, et all is how things “should be” rather than “actaully are”.
It was rather relieving to see the difference in helmets, the former more safe than the latter fashionable one.

I know, all for the sake of pretty pictures! Sam, if you have noticed, in two wheeler ads, the actors are always seen wearing helmets, even if they are not the ones you should ideally be using: plus they always match the colour of the two wheeler!
